THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Hillwood at Landmark is conveniently located minutes from major highways, the Charles Beatley Public Library, and the West End Village shopping center on South Pickett Street, which among other things houses a Home Depot, U.S. Post Office, restaurants and bakeries, hair salon, automotive center, dry cleaners and much more.

Public transportation is easily accessible, with regular DASH and Metrobus service available seven days a week. The Van Dorn Street Metrorail Station, on Metro's Blue Line, is a five-minute bus ride or a 20-minute walk. Hillwood is also close to Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School, Francis C. Hammond and Minnie Howard Junior High Schools, and T.C. Williams High School.

From the Hillwood community, shops, restaurants, galleries, historic sites, and the excitement of Old Town Alexandria are a few minutes away. Landmark Shopping Center is within walking distances, as well as convenient neighborhood grocery shopping, services, and specialty shops.

With the accessibility of the Beltway (I-95/495) and of the Shirley Highway (I-395), living at Hillwood doesn't mean giving up the nightlife of Georgetown, concerts at the Kennedy Center, shows at the National Theatre and Arena Stage, downtown shopping, the perennial pleasures of the Smithsonian's Museums and Galleries, and the many advantages that living in Washington, D.C., has to offer.
